Recap by phillip woo

Battling for market favouritism, Floral Man was given a good ride to slot in quickly from an outside alley in midfield and one off the fence with cover, rallied with one wider out upon straightening and finished up well to get up 50m for a due win following two runner-up efforts. Thumped late, Perfect Joy settled three back and one off the fence, improved to be one-out, one-back at the 500m, hit the front at the 100m and found one better on the afternoon. Firming favourite, New Asia Rising was up vying for the lead early, before settling one off in second, assumed the lead 350m out and came up flat over the last 100m. Spectacular Award was posted fifth and one off the fence, moved to fourth and three deep with cover at the 500m, cornered in five wide and stayed on well. Prince Of Sunshine made some good ground. He was in need of the run. Lucky Chevalier made a mild bid without threatening and will need a drop in grade. Highland Dragon came up empty over the last 150m with every chance off a big weight with a drop in grade.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (149) - PANASONIC MOMI-MOMI MASSAGE LOUNGER HANDICAP (Sec 1) - Class 4 - 1400 Meters On arrival at the Start, BERNARD!|S CHOICE, which made contact with a rail on the way to the Start which resulted in its rider, T Angland, being dislodged, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

HANDSOME BATCHELOR began awkwardly.

Shortly after the start, WALALA blundered after being crowded for room between NEW ASIA RISING which shifted in slightly and LUCKY CHEVALIER which was taken out by TATTENHALL FLYER which in turn was taken out by HIGHLAND DRAGON which shifted out on jumping.

From a wide barrier, BERNARD!|S CHOICE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Near the 1300 Metres, BERNARD!|S CHOICE, which was proving difficult to settle, was steadied away from the heels of FLORAL MAN (O Doleuze) after being taken in by that horse which was shifting ground when not sufficiently clear.

O Doleuze was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

Near the 100 Metres, LUCKY CHEVALIER shifted out and bumped PRINCE OF SUNSHINE, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.

BERNARD!|S CHOICE got its head on the side and lay in under pressure in the Straight.

Throughout the race, NOTUS travelled wide and without cover.

NEW ASIA RISING, FLORAL MAN and PERFECT JOY were sent for sampling.
