Recap by phillip woo

Sunshine Kid settled four deep in fifth, moved to second at the 600m, cruised to the lead entering the straight and drew clear for an impressive win with a move to the dirt. Thunder Flyer recovered off a tardy break to settle one off the fence in midfield at the 800m, straightened six deep and finished up nicely to grab second 50m out in his return to the races this season with a hood applied. He'll be winning races this season. Gracytom settled behind midfield and three deep, cornered in with two wider out and closed off well to just snatch third in a bob of heads from favourite Country Charm, who was settled third from the rear and two deep and really stretching out well when straightening a pair wider out. City Delight was taken back to last from a wide gate, swung the final bend five wide, switched into the clear with one wider out at the 250m and was hitting the line with purpose late to make it close for third. Brothers In Arms took the sit in fourth or fifth along the fence, was off the bridle at the 500m, angled off a tiring Honey Fortune at the 250m and stayed on evenly without ever looking a threat.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (159) - LAI KOK HANDICAP (Sec 1) - Class 4 - 1200 Meters THUNDER FLYER was slow to begin.

From the outside barrier, CITY DELIGHT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Near the 1100 Metres, D DAY SUPER got its head up when momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY GOAL.

Approaching the 1000 Metres, LUCKY TYCOON was steadied away from the heels of GRACYTOM (C Y Ho) which shifted in when not properly clear.

C Y Ho was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future.

Near the 800 Metres, D DAY SUPER got its head up when proving difficult to settle.

Making the first turn near the 700 Metres, BROTHERS IN ARMS shifted in and made contact with the running rail.

INVICTUS, which was following, shifted out abruptly away from the heels of BROTHERS IN ARMS and had to be steadied away from the heels of THUNDER FLYER.

SUPREME HONG KONG, which was following INVICTUS, was also hampered in consequence.

After the 200 Metres, SUPREME HONG KONG shifted out and bumped COUNTRY CHARM which became unbalanced.

Near the 50 Metres, SUPREME HONG KONG was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GRACYTOM which got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure away from THUNDER FLYER.

For the major part of the race, SUNSHINE KID travelled wide and without cover.
