Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Good Looking Watch travelled effectively one-out, one-back in the run, was asked for his effort rounding the final bend five deep, hit the front 150m out and edged clear for a nice win. Amazing Fortune settled ahead of midfield and on the rails, straightened one off, switched underneath Billion Gains at the 100m and got up in the final 20m to grab second in a pleasing first run this season. Medic Champion enjoyed the box-seat run, shifted into the clear three deep upon straightening and kept up a steady gallop late to snatch third in the final few strides. Flying Keeper settled three back and one off the fence, worked to second five deep at the 100m and was running on empty in the final 50m. Billion Gains stalked the even pace of Golden Boy, assumed the lead rounding the final bend and gave way over the last 100m in a better effort with the blinkers off. Dark Secret settled behind midfield and on the rails after a sluggish break, straightened five deep and made some ground before staying on evenly over the last 100m. Polygold was taken back to last at the break from a wide gate, got passed a couple at the 1,200m, turned the final bend three deep and never looked likely, despite being short of room inside the final 100m.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (178) - DUNBAR HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650 Meters DARK SECRET began awkwardly.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, M'S MAGIC failed to muster speed.

After the 1600 Metres, MEDIC CHAMPION was momentarily crowded for room between BILLION GAINS and GOLDEN BOY which shifted in.

When caught wide in the early stages after initially being ridden along, KINGSTON ELITE was steadied and taken across behind runners with a view to obtaining cover, however, was obliged to race wide and without cover throughout.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion, FLYING KEEPER became unbalanced when crowded for room between MEDIC CHAMPION and GOOD LOOKING WATCH which shifted in marginally.

After the 1100 Metres, M'S MAGIC commenced to over-race and got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of FLYING KEEPER.

Passing the 200 Metres, AMAZING FORTUNE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MEDIC CHAMPION.

Over the concluding stages, POLYGOLD was steadied when crowded for room between DARK SECRET and MEDIC CHAMPION which was taken out by BILLION GAINS which got its head on the side and shifted out under pressure.

A veterinary inspection of KINGSTON ELITE and M'S MAGIC after the race did not show any significant findings.

GOOD LOOKING WATCH and AMAZING FORTUNE were sent for sampling.
