Recap by phillip woo

Drifting in the market, Capital K sat one off the fence in second, cornered in three deep and got up in the final couple of strides for a first win at his 14th starts. Benefactor easily got the lead from an inside gate, set a steady pace while cornering near two lengths on top and went down grudgingly. He was certainly suited by a return to Class Four. Firming late in betting, Golden Harvest was hard ridden after a sluggish break to settle third along the fence, stayed near the inside upon straightening and kept on well to be a clear-cut third. He's due for a win. Silver Dragon bided his time third from the rear and two deep from a wide gate, swung the final bend widest out and was getting going late when the race was all but over. Oyster settled midfield and on the fence, cornered in four deep and whacked on one-paced. Nobody But You settled behind midfield and on the rails, straightened five deep, ducked inside to a position two off the fence at the 200m and made some progress without menacing. Specked late, El Grande made some ground without ever looking a threat.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (180) - FORFAR HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200 Meters After arriving at the barriers, M Chadwick expressed concern regarding the action of FLORA DANICA.

FLORA DANICA was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said, after the necessary consultations with the jockey, the horse was suitable to race.

HONEY FORTUNE, which was leaning on the inside of its gate, began awkwardly.

GOLDEN HARVEST was slow to begin.

From the outside barrier, GENKI MOOCHI was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Near the 1100 Metres, EL GRANDE was steadied away from the heels of GOLDEN HARVEST which was taken in slightly by BENEFACTOR.

Passing the 1100 Metres, BLESS US ALL was awkwardly placed close to the heels of OYSTER which was being steadied to shift in to obtain a position with cover.

Approaching the 1000 Metres, SILVER DRAGON was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOBODY BUT YOU.

Near the 800 Metres, GENKI MOOCHI got its head up and raced ungenerously when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SILVER DRAGON.

Then approaching the 600 Metres, GENKI MOOCHI again got its head up and proved difficult to settle when being steadied away from the heels of SILVER DRAGON which itself got its head up when being checked away from the heels of NOBODY BUT YOU.

Approaching the 200 Metres, NOBODY BUT YOU shifted to the inside of OYSTER to obtain clear running.

Throughout the race, TOUCH WELL travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that OYSTER had lost its left hind plate.

A veterinary inspection of BLESS US ALL after the race revealed the horse to have bled from both nostrils.

CAPITAL K and BENEFACTOR were sent for sampling.
