Recap by phillip woo

Fiery Patrol settled midfield and on the rails, pulled out five wide soon after straightening and let down well to take control 50m out for a maiden victory at this 10 th start. Casa Junior settled fourth and one off the fence early on, was back to fifth when Kingston Elite went to the front at the 900m, straightened six deep and ran on reasonably well to be a clear runner-up. He's come right in his past two and won't be far off a win at this level. Billion Gains eventually settled fourth along the rails at the 900m, briefly hit the front at the 100m and found a couple too good in the end while earning a first top-three result at his 17th start. Flying Keeper eventually crossed to lead rounding the first bend, handed up to Kingston Elite at the 900m, straightened three deep and was grinding away late to just edge Kingston Elite for fourth. Specked late, Kingston Elite was posted deep early on, rushed to the front at the 900m, straightened a length on top and was giving ground over the final 100m. Mega Castle eventually settled behind midfield and on the rails after being bumped around at the break, was under pressure 500m out and kept on evenly two off the fence in the straight drive. Treasure Glitter only held his ground in the dash to the wire passed well-beaten or tiring gallopers.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (234) - TAI O HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650 Meters GOLDEN BOY shifted out at the start, resulting in MEGA CASTLE being badly hampered for room inside FLYING KEEPER.

After this, GOLDEN BOY was ridden along to obtain a forward position, however, failed to muster speed.

ALPS GLORY began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped KINGSTON ELITE.

ALPS GLORY then became unbalanced and shifted in abruptly, resulting in AMAZING FORTUNE being checked when crowded for room outside TREASURE GLITTER which became badly unbalanced after being heavily bumped on the hindquarters by AMAZING FORTUNE.

From the outside barrier, SADDLERS LODGE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

After the 1200 Metres, KINGSTON ELITE was left racing wide and without cover and after the 900 Metres was allowed to stride forward into the lead.

Approaching the 1100 Metres, GOLDEN BOY was steadied away from the heels of CASA JUNIOR.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, FLYING KEEPER and YOUNG SUPREME raced tight.

After the 50 Metres, CASA JUNIOR shifted in under pressure and over the concluding stages was awkwardly placed outside the heels of FIERY PATROL.

G Mossm, the rider of 6th placed, MEGA CASTLE, was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race where circumstances permit.

A veterinary inspection of MEGA CASTLE after the race did not show any significant findings.

MEGA CASTLE, FIERY PATROL and CASA JUNIOR were sent for sampling.
