Recap by phillip woo

Drifting in the betting, early favourite Hei Hei Posh eventually slotted in one-out, one-back in the run, cornered in four deep and gained control 100m out for a third win from six outings this term. He's likely to enter Class Three after this run, but remains one to follow off a light weight following a deserving rest. Compact Yarn was granted an uncontested lead, straightened nearly two lengths on top and kept on gamely to hold second. Yuan's Fortune settled behind midfield and one off the fence, swung the final bend with two wider out and finished up well for third. Plunged late to jump favourite, All Bountiful swung the final bend widest out and was hitting the line late with purpose in his course debut. He's gone a lot better in his past three starts and is ready to open his win account. Burgundy Mac travelled along the fence in midfield, cornered in three deep and made a mild bid without ever looking a threat. Goldmen Y Y eventually made his run at the tail of the field from the widest gate and only passed beaten gallopers late. Telecom Supremo was on his own at the rear, made his move four deep at the 800m, cornered in five wide and run peaked 200m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (235) - PUI O HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800 Meters GLORY OF INDIA was crowded for room at the start between GOLD FORTUNE and ENDURING, both of which shifted ground.

From a wide barrier, ALL BOUNTIFUL was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, TELECOM SUPREMO failed to muster speed.

After the 1500 Metres, BURGUNDY MAC was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENDURING when being shifted across behind that runner.

At the entrance to the Straight, GLORY OF INDIA was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ENDURING.

For some distance passing the 200 Metres, GLORY OF INDIA was held up for clear running when being steadied away from the heels of TELECOM SUPREMO which, when giving ground, got its head on the side and shifted in.

After altering course to the inside of TELECOM SUPREMO near the 150 Metres, GLORY OF INDIA was struck over the nose by the whip of Y T Cheng (TELECOM SUPREMO).

A short distance later, GLORY OF INDIA was steadied away from the heels of BURGUNDY MAC (N Callan) which shifted out when not properly clear.

N Callan was severely reprimanded and advised to exercise more care in future.

When questioned, U Rispoli (WINNING BOY) stated that he had been instructed to obtain a position with cover in about midfield if possible.

He said it was explained to him that WINNING BOY can prove difficult to settle and it was hoped that the horse would be able to travel better than it had in some of its previous races.

He said WINNING BOY began extremely well tonight and he had to steady the horse in the early stages in order to obtain the position as instructed.

He said when he did this WINNING BOY proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions.

He said because of the circumstances of the race in the early stages, he was not able to immediately shift across to obtain cover, however, in the run to the winning post on the first occasion he attempted to shift in behind YUANS FORTUNE.

He said when he did this ALL BOUNTIFUL was ridden along to obtain a position to his inside which resulted in WINNING BOY being left racing wide and without cover for the remainder of the event.

A veterinary inspection of TELECOM SUPREMO after the race did not show any significant findings.

ALL BOUNTIFUL, HEI HEI POSH and COMPACT YARN were sent for sampling.
