Recap by phillip woo

Helene Spirit saved ground three back along the rails, straightened three deep, hit the front 200m out and kept finding to score. Real Specialist settled midfield and near the inside, rallied six wide upon straightening, worked to second at the 100m and couldn't pull back the margin on the winner while just shading stablemate Fay Fay for the runner-up spot. Fay Fay settled behind midfield and on the fence, turned the final bend three deep and was hitting the line well to be a clear third. Time After Time made his run second from the rear after getting squeezed out at the jump, was strung up in traffic five-to-six deep upon straightening, worked into the clear at the 200m and was running on nicely for fourth. Packing OK settled behind midfield and one off the fence, swung the final bend with one wider out and was away late off a big weight. Admiration settled fifth and one off the fence, worked to second four deep at the 150m and found a few too good over the final 100m. Supreme Win loomed a rough place chance at the 200m and kept on evenly thereafter. Captain Sweet and Aashiq was stopping.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten: (286)-THE CHINESE CLUB CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Hong Kong Group Three - 1400 Metres TIME AFTER TIME began awkwardly and shortly after the start made heavy contact with PACKING OK which shifted in.

From wide barriers, FAMILISTS and FLYING COLOURS were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, FAY FAY failed to muster speed.

Near the 1200 Metres, PACKING OK and REAL SPECIALIST bumped.

For some distance after the 1000 Metres, HELENE SPIRIT got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of LEADING CITY.

Making the turn after the 900 Metres, REAL SPECIALIST momentarily raced in restricted room inside SUPREME WIN.

After the 400 Metres, TIME AFTER TIME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of REAL SPECIALIST when disappointed for running between that horse and FAY FAY which shifted out.

After this, TIME AFTER TIME was not able to obtain clear running until approaching the 200 Metres.

FAY FAY was held up for clear running until near the 250 Metres.

Throughout the race, FLYING BLUE travelled wide and without cover.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of AASHIQ, T Angland stated that the horse travelled comfortably in the lead.

He said whereas in the past AASHIQ had quickened on straightening, today the horse did not show any turn of foot when CAPTAIN SWEET improved its position to his outside.

He said AASHIQ quickly came under pressure and passing the 300 Metres became unbalanced when shifted in towards the rail.

He said he continued to ride AASHIQ along, however, the horse gave ground and was most disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish off the race.

A veterinary inspection of AASHIQ after the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of CAPTAIN SWEET and MIGHTY HIGH after the race did not show any significant findings.

HELENE SPIRIT and REAL SPECIALIST were sent for sampling.
