Recap by phillip woo

Supported late, Good Words settled a distant second in the run behind the good pace of Romantic City, rushed to the front 200m out and kept finding to score a deserving win after placing three other times this season. Silver Osmanthus settled behind midfield and near the inside, swung the final bend five deep and ran down favourite Charles The Great in deep stretch for second. He remains one to follow in a sprint over this course. Charles The Great travelled fourth and one off the fence, straightened four deep, worked to second at the 100m and just held off Jun Gong for third. He was anchored by the weight. Jun Gong made his run outside Silver Osmanthus, turned the final corner with two wider out and finished up well to make it a bob of heads for third. He keeps thundering home late and won't be far off a winning run. Talley Close settled fourth from the rear and one off the fence, straightened three deep and eventually got going over the final 150m without menacing. Well-punted late, Keen Marie was caught three deep early on, before slotting in with cover ahead of midfield at the 800m, turned the final bend with three wider out and stayed on all right without threatening. Romantic City cornered near three lengths on to and was struggling 150m out.
