Recap by phillip woo

Winning Instinct enjoyed a soft run in fourth along the fence, came one off at the 250m, hit the front 80m out and repelled the late surge of short-priced favourite Jolly Victor for the win. Jolly Victor settled fourth from the rear and two deep, swung the final bend with one wider out and quickened nicely before run appeared to peak 50m out. Spurs On was a handy fifth and one off the rails, cornered in four deep and stayed on well. Chancellor went forward from a wide gate to sit outside the leader Longwah Invincible, and kept up a good gallop to finish close. Yue Lu Treasure was parked without cover outside Spurs On, swung the final bend with four wider out and kept on OK. Peri Peri Saffron made some progress early straight before coming up flat over the final 150m. Agiaal had to switch off heels into the clear with two wider out at the 150m and ran on steadily thereafter. Beauty Mission and Smiling Watch showed little.
