Recap by phillip woo

Leo's Pride proved too good with a return to Class Four. He settled behind midfield and three deep with cover, swung the final bend with one wider out, swept to the lead 250m out and kept on gamely for the win. Short-priced favourite Dars Auto settled behind midfield and on the rails, was shuffled back to be fourth from the rear approaching the final bend, swung the final bend five deep, worked to second at the 100m and was closing the gap late, despite a return to Class Four. He remains one to follow on the surface. Chater D'Cat settled midfield and three wide with cover behind Tarrega, moved to fourth coming to the final turn, worked to second four deep at the 250m and kept on well for a placing. Healthy Blueberry went back to last from a wide gate and was getting home nicely late. He'll be hard to keep out of the finish from a good gate on this surface when next stepping out. Compact Yarn kept on all right in his dirt debut. Danesouth straightened four-to-five deep and ran on steadily late without menacing. Plunged late, Island Spring was grinding away without looking a chance. Specked late, Tarrega dropped off after a hard run without cover. Tipperary Davor and kept on one-paced. Riyadh never landed a blow in his dirt debut with late-market support.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (362)-ON MUK HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650 Metres Shortly after the start, FORTUNE TOGETHER and RIYADH, which began awkwardly, raced tight inside CHATER DCAT.

From a wide barrier, HEALTHY BLUEBERRY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Near the 1400 Metres, DANESOUTH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of COMPACT YARN.

At the 700 Metres, COMPACT YARN was steadied away from the heels of ISLAND SPRING.

Near the 500 Metres, ISLAND SPRING and CHATER DCAT raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions.

In the Straight, NAUGHTY BABY got its head on the side and hung in under pressure.

For the majority of the race, TARREGA travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on FORTUNE TOGETHER at the request of Trainer Y S Tsui.

The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE TOGETHER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of RIYADH after the race revealed that the horse was distressed and was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.

Before being permitted to race again, RIYADH will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of NAUGHTY BABY after the race did not show any significant findings.

LEOS PRIDE and DARS AUTO were sent for sampling.
