Recap by phillip woo

Specked late, Epee De Hua travelled well in midfield and one off the fence from a wide gate, rallied six wide upon straightening and stretched out nicely to get up in the shadows of the post for the victory. Enjoy The Fun rated nicely one off the rails in fourth, swept to the front four deep passing the 200m and was pipped on the wire. Favourite Just Good was allowed to find his stride behind midfield and one off the rails, swung the final bend with two wider out and finished up nicely to make it close at the wire. Sharp Print settled fourth from the rear underneath Just Good, shifted into the clear four deep at the 250m and stayed on reasonably well to fill the frame a distant fourth with the blinkers going on. Telecom Top Star made his run at the back after a sluggish break, turned the final bend widest out and was finishing up nicely over the final 100m. He's better over a longer trip. Hey Ha Master enjoyed a soft run along the rails in third, cornered in one off and came up flat over the last 100m. Crimson sat one off the fence in second, straightened three deep with every chance and was gradually giving way over the final 150m. Bold Tack eventually cleared Hey Ha Master and Crimson to lead at the 800m, turned the final bend a half-length on top and was gassed at the 200m.

Racing Incident Report

Race One: (370)-YUE MAN HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200 Metres After being loaded, BOLD TACK became fractious.

Before being allowed to race again, BOLD TACK will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

SHARP PRINT was crowded for room at the start between ENJOY THE FUN and LOVING ALL, both of which shifted ground.

BEAUTIFUL SCENERY began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of GOAL AND GOLD which shifted in across the running of BEAUTIFUL SCENERY, causing that horse to be hampered.

From a wide barrier, TELECOM TOP STAR was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Passing the 1100 Metres, GOAL AND GOLD was steadied away from the heels of EPEE DE HUA.

Near the 900 Metres, HEY HA MASTER raced tight inside CRIMSON which got its head on the side and shifted in after being brushed by BOLD TACK.

Near the 850 Metres, BEAUTIFUL SCENERY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SHARP PRINT after being taken in by FLYING KEEPER.

After the 800 Metres, GOAL AND GOLD was left racing wide and without cover.

Shortly after entering the Straight, GOAL AND GOLD, which was commencing to give ground, shifted in and made heavy contact with FLYING KEEPER which was also shifting out to obtain clear running.

This resulted in both horses becoming unbalanced.

Near the 300 Metres, SHARP PRINT was shifted out away from the heels of HEY HA MASTER.

Approaching the 100 Metres, BEAUTIFUL SCENERY shifted out and bumped FLYING KEEPER.

Then over the concluding stages, FLYING KEEPER and BEAUTIFUL SCENERY raced tight.

Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of A Suborics (TELECOM TOP STAR), 5th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse'S finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race where circumstances permit.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ENJOY THE FUN had lost its right front plate.

A veterinary inspection of BOLD TACK after the race did not show any significant findings.

JUST GOOD, EPEE DE HUA and ENJOY THE FUN were sent for sampling.
