Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite Victor Delight was perfectly rated on the back of the speed in fourth and one off the fence, peeled into the clear five deep outside Shiny Day at the 300m, swept to the lead 150m out and repelled the late challenge of Wrath Of Fire over the final 50m to score a narrow win. Wrath Of Fire settled behind midfield and one off the fence, swung the final bend with two wider out and kept coming with each stride to make it a bob of heads at the wire. Willie Cazals settled fourth from the rear and along the inside, straightened four deep and finished up well to grab third in the final 20m in his Valley debut. Shiny Day had to work early on to occupy a spot outside Super Pistachio in second, upped the tempo to assume the front at the 600m, cornered a length on top and grudgingly gave way late. Lucky Forever was switched off at the rear from the widest gate and two off the rails, turned the final bend with one wider out and ran on reasonably well late without menacing with some money coming on late. Distill settled second from the rear along the fence, pushed widest out upon straightening and kept on passed beaten gallopers. Super Pistachio was headed passing the 600m and coming back to the field soon after straightening.
