Recap by phillip woo

Firming favourite All You Wish settled nicely in midfield and one off, rallied six deep upon straightening and quickened well to take control 100m out for a second win from three starts with a step up in grade and with the tongue-tie added. He remains one to follow. Adoration did all the donkey work on the lead through genuine fractions, cornered nearly two lengths on top and kept on gamely to clearly hold second off a light weight. Green Manner was taken back from a wide gate to eventually settle second from the rear, found a gap between runners at the 350m and finished up willingly to take third. Owners' Pride settled fourth from the rear and one off the rails, cornered in five-to-six deep and stayed on well to edge Double Dragon for fourth. Double Dragon will be hard to beat, if he can get a drop back into Class Four. Plentiful was posted three deep behind midfield, swung the final bend with two wider out and got going late without menacing. Divine Diya settled third from the rear and one off the fence, pushed into the clear with one wider out approaching the 400m and never fired.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine: (415)-CITIBANK INSURANCE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Metres

From wide barriers, GREEN MANNER and HELENE FUN STAR were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Near the 1100 Metres, MIGHTY K shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of KING DERBY which was being steadied by its rider.

ALL YOU WISH, which was following, was checked away from the heels of MIGHTY K in consequence and OWNERS PRIDE, which was following ALL YOU WISH, became badly unbalanced and lost ground when checked away from the heels of that horse.

When ALL YOU WISH was hampered, it shifted out, resulting in KINGS FOLKS becoming badly unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of that horse.

For some distance approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, RACING REWARD was checked away from the heels of SAMADHI which, when proving difficult to settle, shifted in when being steadied away from the heels of KING DERBY.

After the 900 Metres, MIGHTY K was left racing wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.

Rounding the Home Turn, KINGS FOLKS was steadied when attempting to obtain a run between OUR MARCUS and PLENTIFUL where there was insufficient room.

GREEN MANNER, which was following, was hampered in consequence.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of DIVINE DIYA, T Clark, who was having his first ride on the horse in todays race, stated that it only travelled reasonably in the early and middle stages.

He said DIVINE DIYA, which was up in class today, responded only fairly in the early part of the Straight and, in his opinion, was disappointing in the manner in which it failed to finish off the race, particularly given that GREEN MANNER was able to come from behind DIVINE DIYA to finish 3rd in the race.

He added that DIVINE DIYAs performance could be attributed to the fact that it was up in class after having nearly a month between runs.

A veterinary inspection of DIVINE DIYA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ADORATION had lost its right hind plate.

A veterinary inspection of MIGHTY K immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ALL YOU WISH and ADORATION were sent for sampling.
