Recap by phillip woo
In a leaders' dominated race, Soldier parked himself nicely one off the rails with the late-fancied Dashing Super, narrowly put his head in front at the 200m and kept on gamely to score. Dashing Super held the rails while just shading Soldier for the lead, cornered a head on top and went down fighting. Spurs On enjoyed the box-seat run through a sedate pace, shifted out three deep upon straightening and ran on steadily. King Haradasun settled midfield and one off the rails, straightened with one wider out and got going late when the race was all over. Man And Ming made his run one-out, one-back, turned the final corner four deep and kept on evenly over the final 100m with every chance. Favourite Travel Smart settled second from the rear and one off the rails within five lengths, rounded the final bend widest out and never fired.
