Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Bullish Boy dictated the running through even fractions, cornered the final bend a length on top, build a two-length margin at the 200m and kept on gamely for the victory with Young Talent making up good ground late. Fancied late, Young Talent was ridden hard to occupy a spot in midfield and on the rails after breaking sluggishly from gate nine, swung the final bend five deep and finished up nicely to come out a clear second. Twin Turbo settled one-out, one-back, rounded the final bend with three wider out and stayed on nicely to easily take third. King Haradasun settled behind midfield and on the rails, straightened four deep and made some progress late to get up for fourth in the final few metres. Punted late, Really The Best travelled fourth along the rails, stayed to the inside upon straightening and kept on one-paced over the final 150m with every chance. Ray's Favourite settled three back and one off the rails, rounded the final bend with two deeper out and made only a mild bid. Danzulu was posted deep until slotting in with cover behind midfield and one off the rails at the 1,000m, swung the final bend with one wider out and only stayed on passed beaten rivals. Specked late, Heart Wood straightened three deep and was stopping 200m out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (764)-SUCCESS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Metres

SHIFACHI TRADITION began awkwardly and lost ground.

From wide barriers, YOUNG TALENT and JOLLY GOOD were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion, YOUNG TALENT momentarily raced tight inside KING HARADASUN which got its head on the side and shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of RAYS FAVOURITE.

Passing the 1000 Metres, DIAMOND START commenced to prove difficult to settle and shifted out away from the heels of DANZULU.

DIAMOND START continued to prove difficult to settle for some distance after this.

A veterinary inspection of OPTIMIZATION STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of OPTIMIZATION STAR, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, OPTIMIZATION STAR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

BULLISH BOY and YOUNG TALENT were sent for sampling.
