Recap by phillip woo

Dual Happy settled one-out, one-back, cornered in four deep and drew clear passing the 100m for a first win with a drop in grade. Real General settled one off the fence in second from a wide gate, worked to the front three deep at the 120m and found one too smart in the end. Plunged late in betting, Super Brand was given an easy time on the lead, cornered nearly two lengths on top and grudgingly gave way over the final 100m to just hold on in a blanket finish for third. He'll be a dangerous sort in Class Five, if he can get a few points drop in ratings. Master Gunner had plenty of work to do when cornering with only one behind him along the rails, but finished up willingly to just miss a placing. Diligent III travelled along the rails in midfield, turned the final bend four deep and was grinding away late to make it close for a placing. Able Magic made his run outside Diligent III, swung the final bend with two wider out and made some ground late without menacing with every chance. Firming favourite No Ties switched to a run three off the fence at the 250m after rounding the final bend six deep and got going late when the race was all but over with a step up to the mile for the first time.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (032)-NAM FUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Metres

RIYADH knuckled over at the start and then from the outside barrier was taken across behind runners a short distance after the start.

DILIGENT III and MASTER GUNNER were slow to begin.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion, DILIGENT III was briefly crowded for room inside ABLE MAGIC which was taken in by DUAL HAPPY.

FLUKE, which was following DILIGENT III and racing to the outside of the heels of that horse, was hampered in consequence.

After the 1200 Metres, ABLE MAGIC proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DUAL HAPPY.

Near the 1050 Metres, REAL GENERAL got its head on the side and shifted in, resulting in HO WONGCHOY being momentarily crowded for room and becoming unbalanced.

Approaching the 1000 Metres, NICKU got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MASTER GUNNER.

Approaching the 100 Metres, NO TIES was shifted to the inside of the heels of DILIGENT III to obtain clear running.

Throughout the race, READY TO CELEBRATE travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of RIYADH and NO TIES immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

NO TIES, DUAL HAPPY and REAL GENERAL were sent for sampling.
