Recap by phillip woo

Perfect Moment rolled forward from the widest gate to eventually settle one off in between the leading pair, dropped to the rails at the 800m, came one off soon after straightening and wore down the favourite Flame Hero 100m out for the victory. Flame Hero mustered quickly to dictate the run at a genuine clip, turned the final bend nearly two lengths on top and was tippy-toeing over the final 100m in his initial Valley run with a step up to a mile. King Haradasun made his run behind midfield and one off the rails, swung the final bend widest out and finished up nicely for a placing. Master Gunner was patiently ridden fourth from the rear and one off the rails, swung the final bend with one wider and finished up nicely down the centre of the course to make it close for a placing. Royal Knight made his run third from the rear and on the rails, made some ground early straight and condition gave way in the final 100m. Easy Gold settled one-out, one-back, and came up one-paced over the final 150m. You Know I Win made his run in midfield and on the fence, moved to third three deep at the 150m and came up flat over the last 100m. Golden Scalpel had nothing to offer 200m out.
