Recap by phillip woo

Amazingly was quietly ridden third from the rear and one off the rails after breaking sluggishly, rounded the final bend wide out, swept to the front at the 100m and held off Turbo Jewellery to make it two wins from three outings over this Valley trip this season. Turbo Jewellery switched off at the rear from a wide gate, swung the final bend widest out and finished up willingly to make it close at the wire. Great And Beyond moved to fourth coming to the final bend, straightened four deep and kept grinding away. He's looking for the 1,800m. Absolute Fantasy settled second or third along the rails after handing up to Dual Happy at the 1,200m, reclaimed the front at the 150m and was swamped late. Chancellor straightened three deep and kept on well. Great Charm angled into the clear upon straightening, pulled deepest out at the 200m and was doing his best work late when the race was all but over. Firming late, Cool Bean enjoyed a soft run on the back of the leaders, stayed to the inside upon straightening and was one-paced over the final 100m. He needs a return to Class Four.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (106)-JASMINE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Metres

HONG KONG DANCER was withdrawn on 22.10.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inflamed left fore fetlock).

Before being allowed to race again, HONG KONG DANCER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

As the start was effected, TURBO JEWELLERY was leaning on the outside of its stall, then began awkwardly, resulting in its rider, J Moreira, making heavy contact with the outside barrier gate.

After this, TURBO JEWELLERY was taken across behind runners.

FIRST SIGHT LOVE began awkwardly and in the early stages got its head up.

From a wide outside barrier, GREAT CHARM was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.

In the middle stages, when racing in the lead, DUAL HAPPY travelled keenly and proved difficult to settle.

Passing the 200 Metres, FIRST SIGHT LOVE, which was closing off the race strongly, shifted in when being checked away from the heels of CHANCELLOR and in doing so bumped ONE OF A KIND.

After this, FIRST SIGHT LOVE was checked away from the heels of DUAL HAPPY and CHANCELLOR when unable to obtain clear running behind those horses.

Because of this, FIRST SIGHT LOVE was not tested over the final stages of the race.

For some distance approaching and passing the 100 Metres, ONE OF A KIND was awkwardly placed close to the heels of DUAL HAPPY which was giving ground, resulting in ONE OF A KIND being unable to be fully tested.

A veterinary inspection of DUAL HAPPY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

AMAZINGLY and TURBO JEWELLERY were sent for sampling.
