Recap by phillip woo

Firming at short odds, Silly Buddies settled midfield along the rails, found a gap one off at the 200m and wore down Ovett at the 60m to remain unbeaten in two starts, despite step up in grade. Ovett travelled second in after leading early on, reclaimed the front three deep at the 200m and held on gamely. Newcomer Master Kochanwong made his run one-out, one-back, rallied four deep upon straightening and kept on steadily; must be kept safe. Moneymaker travelled third along the rails, shifted outside for clear running at the 200m and kept up a good gallop; should have figured. G-One Leader, shifted five deep at the 400m, ducked inside at the 150m and was getting to the line well. Not far off a winning run. Mr Ginger settled midfield, rounded final bend five deep, ran on without menacing. Sunny Fay travelled behind midfield, turned corner with three wider out and only stayed on passed beaten rivals. Well-punted newcomer Ongoing Volatility had no cover in midfield, cornered five deep, only held his ground.

Racing Incident Report

When proceeding to the barriers, G-ONE LEADER became fractious, resulting in its rider, U Rispoli, being dislodged.

G-ONE LEADER then proceeded up the 1800 Metre chute.

G-ONE LEADER was brought back to the barriers where it was examined by the Veterinary Officer who, after the necessary consultations, found the horse to be suitable to race.

U Rispoli was examined by the Club!|s medical officer and passed fit to fulfil his riding engagement on G-ONE LEADER.

After being loaded, SEMPITERNAL became fractious.

Before being allowed to race again, SEMPITERNAL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

G-ONE LEADER began awkwardly and lost ground.

MONEYMAKER began awkwardly.

Prior to the 900 Metres, ONGOING VOLATILITY was left racing wide and without cover.

Rounding the Home Turn, MR GINGER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MASTER KOCHANWONG.

At the entrance to the Straight, SEMPITERNAL was bumped by REAL TREAT which shifted out from behind SUNNY FAY after being momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse.

Passing the 300 Metres, OVETT got its head on the side and shifted out marginally under pressure.

Approaching the 200 Metres, G-ONE LEADER was shifted in away from the heels of MR GINGER to obtain clear running.

Near the 200 Metres, SUNNY FAY got its head on the side and lay out.

After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that MASTER KOCHANWONG had sustained a small laceration over the left hock.

SILLY BUDDIES and OVETT were sent for sampling.
