Recap by phillip woo

Firming late Solar Boy rolled forward from a wide gate to eventually lead approaching the 800m, turned the final bend a length on top and kept on gamely to hold a good margin at the line for a second win from three starts this term. Winsome travelled without cover in third from an outside gate, straightened four deep and kept on a strong gallop with a switch to the dirt. Tai Po Fortune was posted very deep early on before settling ahead of midfield with cover behind Winsome, straightened five deep and stayed on well for a placing. Early favourite Diamond Angel enjoyed the box-seat, came one off upon straightening and kept on onepaced over the final 150m with every chance. Late-fancied favourite Just Mistere settled second from the rear and one off the rails, swung the final bend with two wider out and was getting going late when the race was all but over in his initial run on dirt. Splendid Guy made his run third from the rear and two off the rails, swung the final bend with one wider out and was running on late without menacing.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (202)-CAMERON HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Metres

MEGA began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with the hindquarters of YOUNG HAPPY.

When being steadied to obtain cover from a wide barrier in the early stages, TAI PO FORTUNE got its head up and proved difficult to settle.

Making the turn near the 700 Metres, JUST MISTERE was checked when crowded for room inside ROCKET PROUD which, after initially getting its head on the side and hanging in away from YOUNG HAPPY (N Pinna), was then taken in by that horse which shifted in away from the heels of TAI PO FORTUNE which lost some ground when awkwardly placed inside the heels of WINSOME.

N Pinna was severely reprimanded and advised that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he leaves sufficient racing room for runners to his inside in future.

When JUST MISTERE checked, that horse shifted out, resulting in MEGA being checked out across the heels of SPLENDID GUY.

MEGA hung out rounding the Home Turn.

After the 200 Metres, DAILY DOUBLE got its head on the side, lay out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of TAI PO FORTUNE.

TAKE THE RAP was unable to obtain clear running until near the 150 Metres.

Throughout the race, WINSOME travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that ROCKET PROUD had bled from both nostrils.

JUST MISTERE, SOLAR BOY and WINSOME were sent for sampling.
