Recap by phillip woo
Trump settled three back along the rails, worked to the front four deep at the 200m and kept on gamely under a big weight for an overdue win at his 14 th start. Punted late to jump favourite Glorious Ryder enjoyed the box-seat run, was tight for room one off the rails upon straightening, took the gap 300m out and ran down Griffindor close to home for second. Griffindor drove forward to lead from gate seven, cornered a length on top and grudgingly gave way late. One Of A Kind was a handily ridden fifth and one off the rails, swung the final bend with two wider out and was grinding away late to just edge the late-fancied Divine Diya for a First-4 spot. Divine Diya settled second from the rear and two off the rails with cover, moved to around midfield approaching the final bend, straightened with one wider out and peaked on his effort 100m out. Mazandaran stalked the leader to his outside, straightened three deep and only held his ground over the final 200m. Ho Ho Life made some ground widest out from the rear. Early favourite Giggles Forever settled midfield and one off the rails, worked into clear running with one wider out at the 300m and came up flat when popped the question.
