Recap by phillip woo

Circuit Fortune settled behind midfield and three deep with cover, rounded the bend with two wider out, simultaneously found the front at the 200m with Good Good View to his outside and out-dueled that one in a thriller to open his win account at only his third start following a stable change to the Manfred Man Ka-leung yard. He can win another at this level. Good Good View settled third from the rear and two off the rails with cover, swung the final bend with one wider out, quickened when popped the question to draw level at the 200m, was narrowly in front at the 150m and lost out in a ding-dong battle in an improved performance with a return to Class Four. Grand Harbour settled three back and one off the rails, straightened three deep in a bit of a pocket and finished willingly when getting a clear run at the 150m to just snatch third from Jolly Posh. The latter Jolly Posh settled worse than midfield and one off the rails, rounded the final bend five-to-six deep, switched out into the clear at the 150m and ran on steadily.

Racing Incident Report

Race One: (361)-KUT CHEONG HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1200Metres

The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in whilst they considered if GO BANANAS had been afforded a fair start.

After viewing the videos, it was ascertained that simultaneous with the start being effected, GO BANANAS became fractious and reared, resulting in the horse losing a substantial amount of ground.

As the Stewards were of the opinion that GO BANANAS had been afforded a fair start, that horse was deemed to be a runner.

Before being allowed to race again, GO BANANAS will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial.

SECRET IDENTITY began awkwardly.

Making the turn after the 900 Metres, GOOD GOOD VIEW was steadied away from the heels of JOLLY POSH which was checked after getting its head on the side and laying out across the heels of SECRET IDENTITY.

Approaching the 800 Metres, SECRET IDENTITY was left racing wide and without cover.

Approaching the 700 Metres, GRAND HARBOUR, which was proving difficult to settle, was checked away from the heels of KIDS AND WIN.

JOLLY POSH, which was following and travelling keenly, was hampered in consequence.

Passing the 500 Metres, OUR MARCUS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR AWARD.

GLAMOROUS RYDER, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence.

Near the 350 Metres, GRAND HARBOUR was momentarily held up when waiting for clear running between KIDS AND WIN and SECRET IDENTITY.

OUR MARCUS was unable to obtain clear running until near the 250 Metre.

MR AWARD was taken back through the field when badly held up for clear running behind the tiring KIM GLORY and KIDS AND WIN until near the 100 Metres.

Because of this, MR AWARD was not able to be properly tested.

Over the concluding stages, SECRET IDENTITY got its head on the side and lay out under pressure.

CIRCUIT FORTUNE and GOOD GOOD VIEW were sent for sampling.
