Recap by phillip woo

Peppermint settled behind midfield and one off the rails, swung the final bend with two wider out and quickened nicely to take control passing the 200m with an important step down in class. Uwillbeglorious settled fourth from the rear and one off the rails, swung the final bend with one deeper out and finished up nicely to enter the Quinella spot 100m out. Skip Court bided his time at or second from the rear along the rails, angled out under the pump at the 500m, turned the final bend widest out and charged home well to inject value into the tierce. King's Folks made his run third from the back near the inside after getting crowded out at the jump, turned the final bend with three wider out and ran on steadily to overhaul Fortune Bravo for a First-4 spot. Fortune Bravo travelled three back and one off the rails, swung the final bend six deep, worked to third at the 100m and was swamped final 50m. Favourite Expectator settled midfield along the rails, one or two off the paint and failed to lift under the whip in a disappointing performance. Beauty King settled second in the run and one off the rails, poked his head in front from Fun Heroes at the 500m, cornered on top and was stopping 100m out. Fun Heroes was headed coming to the final bend and was gone at the 200m.
