Recap by phillip woo

Last-start winner Call Me Achiever was able to slot in for a breather only at the 450m in a position fore of midfield from a wide gate, stayed near the inside upon straightening and got up in the final few strides for in a blanket finish of four. Early favourite Croesus settled three back along the rails, angled into the clear five deep at the 250m and was closing the gap late to make it close on the wire. Firming late to jump favourite, Ocean Roar pinged to the front, cornered the final bend two on top and was stopping late to finish level for third. Great Run settled third from the rear and one off the rails, cornered two-to-three deep and finished up nicely to place at a price in a much-improved performance. Nazakat's Lad was allowed to find his feet at the tail of the field, swung the final bend with a tonne of work ahead of him with one wider and was doing some nice work late to shade O'Halo for a small pay cheque. Specked late O'Halo enjoyed the gun run, moved to second entering the straight and came up flat in the final 150m. Glory Horsie travelled outside Croesus in the run, straightened five deep and only held his ground in the drive. You Are The One travelled without cover in second, straightened four deep and was struggling 150m out. Gentilis was struggling soon after straightening.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (447)-JUBILATION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Metres

SEASONS STAR and YOU ARE THE ONE bumped at the start, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced and SEASONS STAR shifting in, causing NAZAKAT'S LAD to be steadied when crowded for room.

GREAT RUN got its head up at the start and began awkwardly, losing ground.

Passing the 700 Metres, GLORY HORSIE momentarily raced in restricted room inside SEASONS STAR which shifted in when being ridden along.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, ELEGANT FRAMES got its head on the side and lay out.

Rounding the Home Turn, GENTILIS was awkwardly placed outside the heels of SEASONS STAR which got its head on the side and shifted out.

On two occasions in the early part of the Straight, NAZAKAT'S LAD was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LYRIC ACE.

When closing off the race strongly, GREAT RUN was momentarily held up for clear running behind O'HALO which shifted out under pressure near the 150 Metres.

For the major part of the race, GENTILIS travelled very wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of GENTILIS and YOU ARE THE ONE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

OCEAN ROAR, CALL ME ACHIEVER and CROESUS were sent for sampling.
