Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Beauty King eventually took up the running along the rails from Trendy Win, straightened three-to-four deep and a length on top and kept on gamely for the win. Robust Momentum settled fourth along the rails, moved to second three deep at the 250m and couldn't quite claw back the margin on the winner while just holding Indigo Way for the Quinella spot. Late-fancied Indigo Way third from the rear along the inside, was shuffled back to near last rounding the final bend near the rails and ran on willingly to come out a luckless third. Real General was prominent in the run without able to slot in with cover until the 650m, swung the final bend with two wider out and plugged on a distant fourth. Punted late, Oyster quickly darted to the rails after going back from the widest gate, rounded the final bend five deep and ran on steadily late for a minor pay cheque. Absolute Fantasy was posted three deep with cover in midfield and kept on evenly in the drive. Trendy Win assumed a stalker's role at the 1,250m, was still holding down a placing until succumbing 150m out. Fire Starter was sandwiched between runners in midfield, straightened three deep and was gone 200m out in his initial run over the mile.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (605)-KOREA HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1650Metres

INDIGO WAY was crowded for room at the start between BEAUTY KING and TRENDY WIN, both of which shifted ground.

From the outside barrier, OYSTER was taken across behind runners in the early stages.

Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, ROCK THE TREE was crowded for room inside FIRE STARTER which, after being vigorously ridden to improve its position inside ABSOLUTE FANTASY (H Bowman), was taken in by that horse.

H Bowman was advised to exercise more care.

Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ROBUST MOMENTUM was steadied away from the heels of BEAUTY KING which was taken in by TRENDY WIN (K C Leung).

K C Leung was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance when shifting ground.

Approaching the 1000 Metres, ABSOLUTE FANTASY was left racing wide and without cover.

Rounding the Home Turn, INDIGO WAY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NINE DRAGONS.

After the 200 Metres, OYSTER was shifted out away from the heels of TRENDY WIN to continue improving.

A veterinary inspection of TRENDY WIN and FIRE STARTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BEAUTY KING and ROBUST MOMENTUM were sent for sampling.
