Recap by phillip woo

Berlini settled midfield and one off the rails, angled off heels for clear running six deep at the 400m and finished willingly to run down favourite Supreme Falcon in the final few strides for a second victory from seven starts this term. Supreme Falcon enjoyed a soft run on the back of the speed, stayed to the inside upon straightening and found one too good in the end after claiming the front 150m out. Mighty K made his run third from the rear and two off the rails, swung the final bend with one wider out and ran on strongly to snatch a placing from Tarzan I Am, who parked one off in second outside Fashion Maestro one off the rails and kept on well, despite having his momentum checked when bumped twice by the leader. Let Me Handle It made his run fourth from the rear along the rails after jumping slow, stayed to the inside upon straightening and made some ground without menacing. Danewin Express recovered quickly to settle along the fence in midfield after jumping slow, cornered one off the rails and kept up an even gallop. Amazingly was a late withdrawal.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (747)-LUNG MUN ROAD HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Metres

On arrival at the Start, it was noted that AMAZINGLY had lost its right hind plate.

Due to AMAZINGLY being particularly fractious, the Veterinary Officer reported that the horse was unable to be replated and accordingly AMAZINGLY was withdrawn from the race.

DANEWIN EXPRESS was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start, CHARITY KINGDOM and TARZAN I AM bumped.

CHARITY KINGDOM then shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of FASHION MAESTRO which became unbalanced and in turn shifted out, resulting in CHARITY KINGDOM being crowded for room inside TARZAN I AM.

LET ME HANDLE IT and ARCHIPPUS were taken across behind runners in the early stages.

Near the 650 Metres, LET ME HANDLE IT momentarily raced tight inside BERLINI.

After the 400 Metres, FASHION MAESTRO shifted out and bumped TARZAN I AM.

Passing the 200 Metres, TARZAN I AM became badly unbalanced after being bumped by FASHION MAESTRO (T H So) which shifted out and then shifted out more abruptly when bumped on the hindquarters by TARZAN I AM.

T H So was severely reprimanded and advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts.

Also passing the 200 Metres, ARCHIPPUS was shifted out away from the heels of CHARITY KINGDOM.

Throughout the race, CHARITY KINGDOM and KITAYA travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of KITAYA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of KITAYA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, KITAYA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of FLYING CHAPARRAL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BERLINI and SUPREME FALCON were sent for sampling.
