Short-priced favourite Luger travelled behind midfield and two off the rails with cover from a wide gate, swung the final bend with two wider out upon straightening and picked them up quickly to take control 50m out for a third straight win. Specked late Multivictory as posted four deep fore of midfield early on, rushed forward to lead narrowly from Sea Diamond at the 800m, cornered a half-length on top and kept on gamely to just hold second. Little Men was posted three deep without cover in fourth on the back of a good pace, straightened four deep and fought on gamely to just edge Dining World for a placing. Dining World had every chance following a midfield run and just failed to claim a placing. Sea Diamond was narrowly headed at the 800m after rolling forward to lead from a wide gate and was yielding ground 150m out. Imperial Rome was running on late without menacing

Racing Incident Report


COUR VALANT began awkwardly and shortly after the start blundered and lost ground after being bumped by SEA DIAMOND which shifted in.

IMPERIAL ROME was slow to begin, NOBLE DELUXE was crowded for room on jumping between GREAT STORM and HO IN ONE which shifted out.

From the outside barrier, VICTORY MASTER was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 1200 Metres, COUR VALANT raced awkwardly with its head on the side.

For some distance approaching and passing the 900 Metres, NONE OTHER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NEW VISION.

After the 600 Metres, HO IN ONE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LUGER.

Rounding the Home Turn, MULTIVICTORY got its head on the side and lay out.

In the early part of the Straight, COUR VALANT was momentarily held up for clear running behind NONE OTHER.

After the 400 Metres, NEW VISION and LITTLE MEN bumped.

Throughout the race, LITTLE MEN travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, T Berry reported that VICTORY MASTER felt short in its action in the Straight.

A veterinary inspection of VICTORY MASTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Before being allowed to race again, VICTORY MASTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of DR GOOD HABIT and HO IN ONE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

LUGER and MULTIVICTORY were sent for sampling.
