The waiting is over and the time is now. The 2019 Rugby World Cup is set to kick off Friday, Sept. 20 with the home team Japan taking on Russia at 6:45pm local time.

One of the key group matches will go this weekend as defending champions New Zealand will take on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 5:45pm local time. Also, there will be an official Rugby World Cup fanzone right here in Hong Kong, held down at the Central Harbourfront underneath the Hong Kong Observation Wheel.

The bookies have New Zealand as the favourite at 11/8, followed by the South Africans at 4/1, and it appears history may be on the side of whoever wins the first group game between the All Blacks and the Springboks.
