Carlo Ancelotti happy to finally join Real Madrid

New Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has said he is delighted to have finally arrived to start his new role in the Spanish capital.

The Italian was finally confirmed as Jose Mourinho’s successor on Tuesday, 24 days after the Portuguese left Madrid to return to English side Chelsea.

“I am very happy to be here,” he said as he was paraded in front of the media for the first time on Wednesday.

“I would like to thank the president because he has worked hard to bring me here.”
