Juventus beat Napoli 3-0 to take advantage of another slip up by Roma and close the gap on the Serie A leader to one point on Sunday.
Earlier, Roma was held to a 1-1 draw at home by lowly Sassuolo after conceding a last-minute equalizer, while AC Milan’s struggles continued with a goalless draw at bottom club Chievo Verona.
“We are all in the race,” Juventus playmaker Andrea Pirlo said. “Roma is having a great season but we’re looking at ourselves.
“It went well because, after Roma drew we had to close the gap and we did that in the best of ways.”
Fernando Llorente opened the scoring after less than two minutes at Juventus before Pirlo and Paul Pogba secured the points.
Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna was sent off seven minutes from time following a second yellow card.
