Pegasus move on the cards for South China striker Chan Siu-ki

Striker Chan Siu-ki wants to leave South China for arch-rivals Pegasus, who are managed by Canny Leung Chi-san, the wife of former South China boss Steven Lo Kit-sing.
The Hong Kong international was on the bench during the Caroliners’ last two games because of injury and it is believed the two camps are under discussion for a possible move for the 31-year-old veteran, who has six months left on his current contract.
South China coach Dejan Antonic hopes the situation can be resolved as quickly as possible to make it fair for both clubs. Chan has been one of South China’s brightest talents in recent years and is Hong Kong’s all-time leading goalscorer with 34 goals, but has been hit by indifferent form lately.
South China convenor, Wallace Cheung Kwong-yong, said Chan’s “sudden request” for a transfer has disrupted the club’s plans for the remaining season as Chan “had always been their regular choice”, adding they had yet to receive an official request from Pegasus.
Pegasus, who are seventh in the standings, have already welcomed the arrival of centreback Li Ngai-hoi on loan from Kitchee and utility player Yeung Chi-lun from BC Glory Sky when the winter transfer window reopened this month.
Pegasus face a shortage after suspending a number of players in early October when six people, including five professionals, were arrested by the Independent Commission Against Corruption for alleged bribery in fixing the results of matches involving a local club.
