Former England international defender Ugo Ehiogu has died in hospital a day after collapsing at Tottenham Hotspur’s training ground following a suspected heart attack.
Ehiogu, who played for Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Rangers in a successful playing career received medical treatment at Spurs’ training ground, where he was an under-23 coach, before being rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Tottenham announced in a statement: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Ugo Ehiogu.”

He made over 400 career club appearances and represented England four times.
