What Fifa World Cup games can I watch today? Sweden v England and Russia v Croatia
The ‘easy side’ of the draw meets to decide the semi-finalists and who will face France or Belgium in the final on July 15
Friday night’s World Cup quarter-finals did not disappoint.
There were great goals, there was drama and there was at least one upset.
But we are only halfway to the semi-finals and now it is all eyes on Sochi and Samara on Saturday night.
Sweden take on England in the first match of the night, as the two Europeans resume their longstanding rivalry.
The teams have met in World Cups before but never so far into the knockouts and they are 90 minutes away from matching their best results since 1990.
England are the favourites to win ($1.96) with Sweden at $5.25 and a draw at 90 minutes paying $3.4.
The 10pm kick-off is on Viu TV (channel 99) and Now TV’s World Cup channels (618 and 619).
We then move on to Russia v Croatia, another game that pits a team with one group stage loss against a team that is as yet unbeaten.
The hosts have surprised everyone but can they continue to ride the crest of this wave of public goodwill and stay in the tournament?
The bookies are backing the Balkan side. Croatia are $2.21 to win, with Russia at $4.2. The draw in normal time is $3.14.
Action from the Fisht Stadium in Sochi is live from 2am on Now TV’s World Cup channels.
