Priscilla Hon shook the tennis world after a stunning comeback against two-time grand slam title-winning Petra Kvitova at the Adelaide International on Monday, winning a 27-shot rally in the process.

Hon beat Kvitova in three sets, and progressed to the round of 16 where she will face former world No 1 and two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka of Belarus on Thursday. Azarenka, 32, blasted world No 8 Paula Badosa off the court in straight sets in their round-of-32 match on Tuesday.

The Australian wild card, who is ranked 263 in the world, received plaudits from the likes of national teammates Daria Gavrilova and Nick Kyrgios, and the 23-year-old is set for a breakout season after her first win against a top 20-ranked opponent.
