Australian Open: Andy Murray mocks Nigel Farage’s seeming hypocrisy over Novak Djokovic support as Twitter argument erupts
- British tennis star trolls pro-Brexit campaigner, who is in Serbia reporting for GB News from Djokovic’s family home
- ‘Please record awkward moment when you tell them you’ve spent most of your career campaigning to have people from Eastern Europe deported,’ Murray tweets.

Three-time grand slam champion Andy Murray had some fun trolling Nigel Farage on Twitter regarding the English politician and pro-Brexit campaigner’s trip to Serbia to meet Novak Djokovic’s family and show support for the world No 1.
Farage had tweeted a picture from Belgrade on Sunday night, telling his 1.6 million Twitter followers to “watch this space” as the family awaited the result of Djokovic’s visa hearing in Australia.
The 57-year-old Farage was reporting on the case for English television and radio channel GB News, and tweeted a video from 20-time grand slam champ Djokovic’s trophy room.
That prompted a sharp response from Scottish former world No 1 Murray, who is in Melbourne preparing for the first grand slam tournament of the 2022 season.
“Please record the awkward moment when you tell them you’ve spent most of your career campaigning to have people from Eastern Europe deported,” Murray tweeted.
