Introduction

It's day two in Melbourne and if you thought yesterday was fun, wait and see what's coming up on an action-packed Tuesday at the Australian Open.

Russia's Daniil Medvedev, the top men's seed, has begun his campaign for a second grand slam with an easy win over Henri Laaksonen, while fellow US Open champion Emma Raducanu faces Sloane Stephens in her tournament debut. If that wasn't enough, Garbine Muguruza has already made a winning start to her campaign, and Andy Murry came through in five sets.

After yesterday's impressive performances, two more Chinese players have had to wait for their tournaments to starts. Zhang Shuai secured a solid win over Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic, while Wang Xinyu defeated Ann Li in straight sets, making it a clean sweep for all of the Chinese women at the Australian Open.
