It looks like Google is trying to get back into China in a big way.

On Wednesday, a report said that Google was preparing to launch a search engine in China that would follow the country’s strict censorship rules. Today another report said Google is also planning to launch a news app -- again, one that blacklists sites and topics deemed sensitive by the Chinese government.
It’s not clear when or even if they’ll launch -- and as we saw with Facebook’s apparently approved subsidiary in China, things can change very quickly.

But if the reports are true, Google will be up against one of the country’s tech titans: Baidu, which has a commanding 74% market share among search engines in China.
