Derek Leung Ka-chun is a highly accomplished Hong Kong-based rider, a product of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Apprentice School. Known for his local racing achievements and ability to secure wins in handicaps. His career highlights include two Tony Cruz Awards (2016/17, 2017/18) and significant Group 1 victories, such as the 2017 Hong Kong Mile on Beauty Generation and the 2024 Centenary Sprint Cup. Leung achieved his 400th Hong Kong win in 2022 and remains a regular, successful presence on the circuit. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Health Education.
