House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (US)
The House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party is a governmental body of the United States House of Representatives, established in Washington, D.C. in January 2023. Its primary mission is to investigate and provide policy recommendations on the strategic competition between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The Committee focuses on economic, technological, and security challenges, including intellectual property theft, human rights, cyber warfare, and supply chain resilience. It aims to build bipartisan consensus to defend American interests and values, notably through oversight and policy proposals concerning U.S. business ties and investments in China.
