The Israeli military
The Israeli military (Israel Defense Forces - IDF): A prominent Tel Aviv-based national military, the IDF is dedicated to defending Israel’s sovereignty, independence, and the security of its residents. Its core activities encompass ground, aerial, and naval defence operations, counter-terrorism, and developing advanced military technologies. Recognised globally as one of the most battle-tested armed forces, the IDF also provides humanitarian aid and contributes to nation-building, notably through compulsory military service for many citizens.
