King Maha Vajiralongkorn

Thailand’s King Rama X is the 10th in a dynasty that dates back to 1782, following in the footsteps of his revered father, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who died in October 2016 at age 88. Rama X – his formal title is “His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarankun”  – had been the heir apparent since 1972.

Thai king takes control of US$30 billion royal fortune

The official agency that had managed the vast wealth of Thailand’s royal family has announced that its assets have formally been turned over to King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, who assumed the throne after the death of his father in 2016.
