The latest news and top stories on World Aquatics. A prominent Lausanne, Switzerland based international governing body, World Aquatics is dedicated to overseeing aquatic sports globally. Its main areas of focus include governing swimming, diving, high diving, artistic swimming, water polo and open water swimming, organising major competitions like the World Championships, and setting rules. Recognised by the International Olympic Committee, World Aquatics, formerly FINA, promotes fair play athlete development and water safety. The organisation plans to relocate its main headquarters to Budapest, Hungary by 2027.
