Residents fear hill fire near Sha Tin estate

A hill fire near a public housing estate in Sha Tin had been blazing for more than 30 hours as of Saturday night, leaving locals nearby fearing it may spread to engulf their homes.

The blaze, which started at around 3.30pm on Friday on a hill facing Shui Chuen O Estate, was still burning as of 11.30pm on Saturday.
