Typhoon surfers: Brave souls hit the beach during Typhoon Usagi

A dozen hardcore surfers remained in Big Wave Bay an hour or two before the No 8 signal was hoisted. The surf was relatively tame they said but depite that and the -- at times -- heavy rain, the parking lot was almost full.
