Former South Korean president Park Geun-hye jailed for 24 years for bribery

Former South Korean President Park Geun-hye has been sentenced for 24 years in jail for corruption-related charges by a court in Seoul. Prosecutors said Park accepted or was promised US$110 million in bribes from three South Korean companies in exchange for policy favours.
