Nigeria becomes major transit hub for illegal pangolin trade to Asia

In Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam, huge amounts of pangolin scales coming from Nigeria have been confiscated in the last year. The African country is becoming a major hub for wildlife trafficking and the illegal pangolin trade with Asia. The threatened mammal is prized for its use in traditional Chinese medicine and is eaten in high-end restaurants.
