Huge waves hit Sorsogon City as Typhoon Surigae passes near the Philippines

Strong winds and large waves hit Sorsogon City on April 19, 2021, as Typhoon Surigae swept past central Philippines over the weekend.The first super typhoon of the season in the Western Pacific forced thousands of residents in the Bicol region to be evacuated from their homes. It is forecast to move north along the coast of Luzon Island, but is not expected to make landfall.
