Chinese, Russian warships sail through Japan strait for first time

Ten naval ships from China and Russia sailed through the Tsugaru Strait on October 18, 2021, according to the Japanese government. The strait separates Japan’s main island and Hokkaido. It was the first time Japan’s Defence Ministry confirmed such a joint passage.
