Japan’s ex-princess Mako and husband Kei Komuro arrive in New York to start new life

Japan’s former princess Mako, now Mako Komuro, arrived in the United States on November 14, 2021, with her husband Kei Komuro after leaving the royal family. Mako, the niece of Emperor Naruhito, gave up her royal title when she wed a commoner under post-war succession laws.
