‘It is absolutely unacceptable’: Japan raises concerns over 9th North Korea missile launch of 2022

Japan’s Defence Minister Nobuo Kishi raised alarms over North Korea’s continued expansion of its nuclear programme after the reclusive nation launched another missile – its fifth this year – off the coast toward the East Sea, also known as the Sea of Japan. The March 5, 2022 missile launch came mere days before South Korea’s presidential election and at a time of increasing global tensions.
